The SOIN Production setup uses the industry standard SSL (Secured Socket Layer) certified by a leading security SSL seal. SSL encrypts the data transmitted from a web browser to the web server and vice versa with 128/40 bit encryption algorithms.
Firewall
The SOIN Production setup uses a firewall to protect the SOIN web infrastructure. The firewall blocks the unused/open TCP/IP ports on the servers. It makes sure that the web content and database requests are coming from known sources blocking all the unknown sources.
Anti-Virus
SOIN servers use the latest version of Symantec Antivirus to protect the file system against the harmful viruses. The virus definitions are updated automatically upon issue. Virus scans are scheduled on the servers daily to maintain a clean file system.
Language filters
The SOIN mail server uses various language filters applied at both system and user levels. The system level filters block any email containing harmful language at the mail server from being delivered to any user mailbox. Users can also create their own language filters to block specific emails.
Anti-spam server
The SOIN mail server is also protected from spammers. Anti Spam server rules check and filter all the incoming emails at the mail server and block them from being delivered to any user mailbox.
Encrypted passwords
SOIN user passwords are stored in an encrypted database. Only the assigned user knows his/her password allowing access to the site.
24 X 7 Monitoring
The SOIN setup is monitored 24x7x365 to protect them from intrusions and/or DOS attacks of any malicious code. The SOIN web sites have a 99.999 % uptime.
